Introduction to Derivatives Trading

Derivatives trading on Zenit World allows users to trade crypto assets without actually owning them. Instead, you trade contracts based on the Derivative price of cryptocurrencies like BTC or ETH. This means you can benefit whether the market goes up or down.

Zenit’s derivatives platform is designed to be easy to use, even for beginners, while offering powerful tools like leverage and real-time position tracking for more experienced traders. Whether you're looking to hedge, speculate, or explore advanced trading strategies, Zenit World Derivatives provides a secure and flexible environment to do so.

What’s the difference between Derivate and Spot Trading

Spot trading involves buying or selling the actual cryptocurrency at the current market price, and ownership is transferred immediately. In contrast, derivatives trading lets you trade contracts based on the price of a cryptocurrency without owning the actual asset. With derivatives, you can use features like leverage and take positions on both rising and falling markets, making it more flexible but also riskier compared to spot trading.

Benefits of Derivative Trading on Zenit World

  • Profit in Any Market Direction You can earn from both rising and falling crypto prices by going long or short—giving you more opportunities to trade.

  • Trade with Leverage Derivatives allow you to open larger positions with less capital, helping you maximize potential returns (but with higher risk).

  • Hedging and Risk Management You can use derivatives to protect your portfolio from market volatility by locking in prices or managing downside risk.

2. Derivative Overview

3. Complete the Quiz

Before accessing Derivatives trading, completing a short quiz helps ensure you understand the core concepts, risks, and mechanics involved. It's designed to protect users from avoidable mistakes and equip you with the knowledge needed to trade confidently and responsibly. By passing the quiz, you unlock access while demonstrating you're ready to engage with advanced trading products.

4. Verify Your Account

5. Fund Derivative Account

5.1 Add Funds

To add funds to your Derivative Wallet, click on the add funds icon on the right side of the Zenit World derivative page.

5.2 Confirm add funds

Set the amount you’d like to transfer and the wallet you want to use before clicking Confirm. You should see the balance added to your Derivative Wallet shortly. You can also change the direction of the transfer should you wish.

6. Understanding Zenit World Derivative

6.1 Select the pair

Select the pair you want to trade

6.2 Price Chart

Use the price chart to identify potential trading setups based on patterns or any other technical indicator available on Derivative.

6.3 Position Mode

  • Netting Mode combines all your positions in the same direction for a single asset into one. For example, multiple buy orders are merged into one long position.

  • Hedge Mode allows you to open both buy (long) and sell (short) positions at the same time for the same asset, useful for managing risk or planning strategies.

6.4 Adjust leverage

Now, you need to adjust leverage and click confirm. Please note that using high leverage carries high risks and shouldn’t be done without a robust risk management strategy.

6.5 Order Type

Market order is used when you want to buy or sell a contract immediately at the best available price. It's fast and simple but may execute at a slightly different price than expected due to market movement.

Limit order, on the other hand, lets you set the exact price at which you want to buy or sell. The order will only be filled if the market reaches your specified price, giving you more control over your trade.

6.6 Take profit and Stop Loss

Price - Set the price you want to buy

Take profit - Automatically closes your trade when the price reaches a set profit level, helping you secure earnings.

Stop loss - Stop Loss closes your trade if the price drops to a certain point, limiting your losses.

6.7 Buy Long/ Sell short

Buy (long) - Expect the price of a crypto asset to go up, so you open a position to profit when it rises.

Sell (short) - Expect the price to go down, so you sell a position now and aim to buy it back later at a lower price profiting from the drop.

6.8 More Understanding

  • Equity - Total value of your account, including balance + unrealized PNL.

  • Balance - The actual funds available in your account (excluding open trade profits/losses).

  • PNL (Profit & Loss) - Unrealized profit or loss from open positions.

  • Margin Used: - The amount of funds locked as collateral for open trades.

  • Maintenance Margin - Minimum balance required to keep positions open. Falling below this can trigger liquidation.

  • Liquidation Ratio - Percentage of your equity used as margin. A higher ratio means higher risk of liquidation.

  • Funding Fee (0.04%): Fee paid between traders for holding leveraged positions more than specific hours.

  • Liquidation Fee (0.07%): Charged if your position is forcibly closed due to insufficient margin.

  • Commission (0.035%): Standard trading fee applied per executed order (buy or sell).

Conclusion

Now that you understand how to use Zenit World for derivatives trading, you’re equipped to take advantage of more dynamic trading opportunities.

Trading derivatives allows you to benefit from both rising and falling markets, hedge against price movements, and use leverage to optimize your capital. However, it's important to trade responsibly—always apply strong risk management practices and be mindful of market volatility.
